Here is a list of all claimed canon characters. Note that since there are so many characters in My Little Pony, we will not initially be listing them here. When somebody wishes to claim a character, and their audition is deemed sufficient, we will post that the character is claimed, and whom claimed them beside their name.
Each member starts off with two open canon character slots. Each time their audition is accepted, a slot will be filled. Additional slots are available in the shop, up to a maximum of five. Important canon characters such as Princesses require a unique slot because of their importance in the roleplay. The price of the slot reflects their importance.
So in short: if you don't see a character on the list, then they have NOT been claimed, and you may audition for them. The process for auditions is as follows:
If a canon character is not yet claimed, and you wish to audition for them, let an Admin or Moderator know, and await their response. For most members, the process is fairly simple: after being given the go-ahead by a Staff member and stating whether you want to play the character in the Canon or Non-Canon boards, proceed to post an example of some imagined scenario involving the character you wish to play. If we find you portray them correctly, you'll be cleared to use them in whichever board you chose. (Note: Normal Auditions will be placed in THIS thread, not in separate threads.)
However, Staff may ask you to do an active roleplay with them via PMs to be sure you're capable of playing the character correctly. This is nothing personal by any means, and it has nothing to do with doubting an individual's roleplaying skills or experience. It is simply a way to make sure more important characters are being accurately portrayed so that the roleplay runs smoothly. Alternatively, you may also request to do an active audition via PMs if you would prefer.
If you are not accepted to play the character, the Staff member will state so and list the reasons why you were not accepted for the position. If they do not give a reason, you reserve the right to speak to another member of Staff, preferably a Global Moderator or higher. Furthermore if you feel you were prematurely denied on basis of pre-judgement or personal bias, you also reserve the right to apply and have your audition reviewed by a different Moderator or Admin. This can be on basis of factual disputes with the Staff member in question, or even just because you feel they have something against you.
Staff members that have had known issues with individual members in the past will not be permitted any say in the status of an audition made by said member. Only Administrators and higher will be allowed the final say on highly important auditions, such as those for Princesses.
